Wimbledon Championship

The Wimbledon Championship is part of the 4 major tournaments and is widely regarded as the most prestigious tournament. The Wimbledon championship has been held in London, England annually since 1877 and is played on grass courts.

Novak Djokovic holds the most Major championships in Majors history with 24 and is looking to add another major to his trophy case.  The 4x defending champion, will be attempting to equal Roger Federer’s Wimbledon Record with 8 as well as Roger Federer and Bjorn Borg’s joint record of 5 straight Wimbledon championships. Novak enters the tournament as the current Vegas odds favorite to repeat as the outright winner at -175.

Carlos Alcaraz is the 2nd outright favorite to win the tournament at +350. Carlos finished 4th last season at Wimbledon but won the US Open championship, one of the four majors. Alcaraz lost to Djokovic in the semis at the French Open this season, dealing with some severe cramping during their match. Carlos will be a top contender to compete for the championship.

Danill Medvedev is a former No1 player in the world holding that status for 16 weeks and is currently No3. Medvedev is a  2021 US Open champion and is eager to compete for another Major Championship. He also reached the finals in the 2022 Australian Open before eventually losing to Rafael Nadal. Daniel has historically been strong on grass over his career, having won 67% of his matches on grass. He was 8-3 on grass last year, but did not participate in the Wimbledon championships due to pontifical ties. Danill enters the tournament as a  +2000 Vegas odds favorite to win outright. This ranks him 4th on the list of favorites.

Nick Kyragos was an unseeded participant in last season’s Wimbledon championship and progressed all the way to the finals before losing to Novak Djokovic , 4–6, 6–3, 6–4, 7–6(7–3). Nick is currently +4000 in current Vegas odds and is a worthy competitor and is capable of playing with the best.

Andy Murray, a 3x Major champion and twice at the  Wimbledon championship. Murray looks to capture a 4th major ending in what would be an incredible career. Currently Murray is 39th in the world and lost in the first round of the Queen’s Club Championships. Murray will be unseeded for Wimbledon as a result. That could mean a nightmare pairing in the first round for the 36-year-old.
